ATLANTA - (09/18/2001 8:48 A.M. EST) - At approximately 9:55 A.M. EST
on Sunday, September 16, 2001 Richard Cheney, Vice-President of the United States
told Americans on NBC television program Meet The Press, that the role they
can play in the war against terrorism is, "vigilance, be aware of what
is going on around you." in response to the horrific, terrorist attack
that occurred at the World Trade Center in New York City on Tuesday September
11th at 8:48 A.M. EST one very long and harrowing week ago today.
Personal Electronics Concealment, LLC, (PEC, LLC) the company which originally
created the e-Holster®, a shoulder holster for personal electronics, is
now introducing the e-Vigilance Bag a single-strap "carry all"
which provides a new, practical way for every American to turn "vigilance"
into action and participate in the new "war on terrorism" by wearing
"anti-terrorism communications weapons" cell phones, digital cameras,
PDA's, handheld personal computers, MP-3 recorders and the like.
Thomas N. Traeger, CEO of PEC, LLC stated, " While watching the television
coverage of the surrealistic terrorist attack on the U.S. on September 11th
I felt totally helpless to assist beyond giving my thoughts, prayers, donations
and blood. Later in the week when my pain turned more strategic I thought of
a way I could participate and that was by helping Americans "arm"
themselves with "anti-terrorism (AT) communications weapons". These
"AT communications weapons" don't kill or maim in fact they help avoid
the effects of terrorism by enabling or enhancing the ability of individual
Americans to monitor, accurately report and quite possibly thwart possible future
terrorist activities." Further, he stated, "when I saw that Americans
desperately wanted to participate in the war on terrorism but their best outlet
was waving U.S. flags, I thought, by arming them with "anti-terrorism communications
weapons "we can give them the ability to do so much more for themselves,
their families, their country and their countrymen every day of the year."
Finally, he stated, "In addition to aid the war on terrorism we are setting
up our e-Store @ http://www.eholster.com so that every e-Vigilance Bag
sold we will donate $1.00 to the American Red Cross on a monthly basis."
As air travel around the world takes a hard, conservative, right towards increased
security in response to four jet hijackings during the September 11th terrorist
attack on the United States it is clear that air travel will never again be
the same. As curbside check-in fades in our collective memory it will become
clear that "carry-on" will also be radically challenged and changed
forever. In response to this new air travel reality and the need for every American
to become more vigilant and active in looking for, monitoring and reporting
possible terrorist activities it follows that those same Americans need a way
to "wear" their anti-terrorism communications weapons, which in reality
are all of their personal electronics. The e-Vigilance Bag provides a
revolutionary solution to the increasingly thorny problem of how to "wear"
personal electronics of the present as well as future personal electronics.
An example of how having a digital camera and a cell phone or hand-held PC
with a wireless connection could have helped in the recent terrorism
WHAT
IF
a passenger on any of the hijacked flights took a digital photo of one
or more of the hijackers
or recorded their conversations with an MP3 player
and was able to send that information out via a cell phone, personal e-mail
device or handheld computer. Quite possibly, fewer people may have died, TWTC
may still be standing in NYC and America might not be going to war. Indeed as
the very important calls from cell phones on the hijacked airplanes proved,
anti-terrorism communications weapons such as the cell phone can be powerful
deterrents and can thwart terrorism. The example could also be extended to any
other mode of transportation which terrorists may prey such as cruise ships,
trains, buses and subways.
If there is one constant in both of the very unrelated worlds of terrorism
and personal electronics it is change. The e-Vigilance Bag is designed
to adapt to this constant state of change in personal electronics and ultimately
the fight against terrorism by enabling consumers to "wear" both their
present and future personal electronics while every day actively participating
in America's war on terrorism. As terrorist organizations depend on personal
electronics to implement their reign of terror, now Americans can utilize these
same personal electronics for peaceful purposes by turning their vigilance into
action.
Based upon the revolutionary, patent pending design of the e-Holster®,
e-Vigilance Bag will not only collaborate with its owner's body and their
personal electronics to provide a new and very comfortable way to "wear"
personal electronics but it will also "evolve" as their personal electronics
change over time.
As a personal electronics owners products evolve over time the "modular
design" of the e-Vigilance Bag enables its owner to almost endlessly
modify the personal electronics they would prefer to wear, that hour, that day,
that week. This evolutionary capability is achieved by a simple, but functional
design which enables connecting the e-ShoulderStrap to any e-Pouch®
case which are each designed to either be used alone or to be used like building
blocks, one attaching to another. This unique "building block" modular
design enables the owner to add a PDA when they are travelling, delete the PDA
when they return from their trip, add a digital camera for a day at the race
track, ad infinitum. All e-Vigilance Bag models also provide the "physical
infrastructure" required to create a comfortable and fully mobile personal
area network (PAN).
All e-Vigilance Bag models will include one adjustable e-ShoulderStrap
made of high-grade leather with a non-slip shoulder pad. There are presently
e-Vigilance Bag models each one consisting of an e-ShoulderStrap
and one e-Pouch® case either for; a Wireless Phone, a PDA, a Handheld PC
or a Digital Camera.
The e-Vigilance Bag line will feature four new models; the EVBP (e-Vigilance
Bag Professional - for Wireless Phone and PDA) model, the EVBU (e-Vigilance
Bag Ultimate - for Wireless Phone, PDA and PDA keyboard or wallet) model, the
EVBWP (e-Vigilance Bag for Wireless Phone) model, the EVBPDA (e-Vigilance
Bag for PDA) model, the EVBHPC (e-Vigilance Bag for Handheld PCs)
model and the EVBDC (e-Vigilance Bag for Digital Camera) model. All four
models will be available in either high-grade leather starting at a suggested
retail price of $47.90 or in lightweight, durable ballistic nylon starting at
a suggested retail price of $39.90.
The entire line of e-Vigilance Bag models are designed to be unisex, one-size-fits-all
and are available only in black. All e-Vigilance Bag models are ambidextrous,
equally accommodating both left and right-handed users. All e-Pouch cases are
modular and can be added, deleted or moved from side to side simply by snapping
and unsnapping from the e-ShoulderStrap. Each e-Pouch case can be adjusted
on the e-ShoulderStrap and the e-ShoulderStrap itself can be adjusted
to meet not only the users specific needs but anatomy as well.
Since all e-Vigilance Bag models are modular in design, users that purchase
either of the e-Vigilance Bag models can upgrade their e-Vigilance Bag
unit by purchasing and attaching additional e-Pouch cases for up to three personal
electronic devices such as cellular phones, PDA's, and handheld personal computers.
Current e-Holster® owners can purchase an e-ShoulderStrap to attach
their existing e-Pouch cases to. Users may also detach their e-Pouch cases from
their e-Vigilance Bag and wear it on their belt with an e-BeltSnap®
accessory (sold separately).
