How to Assemble, Wear, and Care for Your e-Vigilance Bag

How to Assemble

1) Decide which shoulder you would like to wear your e-Vigilance Bag on (right or left). If right, the d-rings (plastic "D" shaped rings on back of case) on the case should be on the left side of the case, with the opening flap of the e-Pouch facing out.

2) Lay the e-Pouch case down flat on a table with the d-rings facing right. Make sure the d-rings are facing out and not under case.

3) Place the e-ShoulderStrap to the right of the case with the straps facing toward the case. Be sure the suede-side of the straps are facing down.

4) Insert the bottom strap over and into the bottom d-ring of the case. Pull the strap through until the d-ring meets the third hole on the strap and then fold under.

5) Insert the rivet into the fifth hole in the strap. Insert like a shirt button - bottom edge in first (place thumb under the side of the hole that the rivet is to be pushed through), and then push through from the bottom.

6) Repeat steps 4-5 for the top strap.

How To Wear

To properly wear the e-Vigilance Bag, put your arm (right or left) through the e-ShoulderStrap and place the non-slip shoulder pad on the top of your shoulder with the shoulder pad positioned closest to your neck. The leather strap also moves back and forth within the non-slip shoulder pad so you can adjust the length of the strap on each side of your body.

Adjusting the e-ShoulderStrap

If you find the e-Pouch cases being too close to, or too far from your arm pit, you can move them up or down the adjustable e-ShoulderStrap by removing the black plastic rivets on each side of the leather strap and reinserting them in the strap holes. Be sure you have moved the rivets an equal number of holes for each side.

1) Remove the black plastic rivet from the front side of the e-Harness.

2) Then move the rivet up or down the leather strap to adjust the size.

3) Insert the rivet in the hole that best suits your needs.

4) Repeat for both straps. Be sure that you move the rivet the same number of holes for each strap.

Because the e-ShoulderStrap is made with a top-grade leather it will mold and form to your body's natural contours over time. If the e-ShoulderStrap seems stiff and non-flexible when you first get your e-Vigilance Bag, don't worry it will quickly become soft and supple and will fit your body perfectly.

Adding an e-Pouch case

Each e-Pouch case is designed to be ambidextrous so you can use them on either side of your body. This means if you want your cell phone on your left side it's easy, just move it. Also each e-Pouch case has the ability to have another e-Pouch case added to it so that you can wear up to two e-Pouch cases per side at one time (you can try more, we recommend two per side). You can also wear your e-Pouch case with an e-Harness for both shoulders, or an e-BeltSnap for your belt (purchased separately).

Adding an e-Pouch Case

1) Unsnap the e-Pouch case from the e-ShoulderStrap by unsnapping the leather d-ring straps on the back of your e-Pouch case.

2) Place the bottom leather d-ring straps through the d-rings of the new e-Pouch case that you're adding .

3) Snap the leather d-ring straps closed.

How To Care

Care of either the leather or ballistic nylon e-Vigilance Bag is very minimal, in fact very much like the care you will provide to a wallet, purse, belt or other personal accessory. If your e-Pouch case or e-ShoulderStrap should become soiled the case can merely be wiped off with a damp cloth then allowed to air dry.

For the leather cases, if needed, acquire a good quality saddle soap and follow the package directions for its use. Never force the drying of the e-Pouch cases or the e-ShoulderStrap by exposing to heat, etc. Let them dry naturally, perhaps with a fan blowing across them. Heat can cause leather to shrink, crack, etc., just as with a fine pair of shoes or boots.
